Each year, the Marquette High Speech Team loses a few and gains a few “talented topper tongues,” yet emerges on top and victorious. Senior Andrew Turner proved to be this year’s most valuable speaker on the team. His talent was a most rewarding asset to the rest of the speakers.
If one of the newly iniated freshmen were to stroll into the debate room, he might think he was in the Taj Mahal. With all the hardware and trophies the Webbies have acquired over the year, this would be an honest mistake. Every year the Marquette High Debate Team triumphs over their competition and the 1983-1984 school year was no exception.
