CFL Nationals Accomplishments
Webster Club students represent Marquette each Memorial Day weekend at the National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Tournament, hosted since 1952 to honor champions in debate and forensics. Students must qualify to attend the competition by advancing through a preliminary tournament between schools in their local diocese. Webster Club seniors are unable to attend because of graduation but Marquette has been well-represented by younger competitors at the Grand Nationals.
The following are a few of the most impressive accomplishments by the Webster Club at NCFL Nationals.
- Champion in Dramatic Performance (Thomas Kilgore) - 1999
- Runner-Up in Dramatic Performance (Thomas Kilgore) - 2001
- Semifinalist in Dramatic Performance (Mike Lueger) - 2002
