Forensics Season Kicks Off On Saturday With Afternoon Workshop

While some Webster Club students participate in the West Bend Debate Tournament, others will be attending a workshop at Marquette University High School to kickoff the forensics season. Both new and returning students will get together to learn more about the program, discuss speech topics and interp pieces, and get to know one another as the 2006-2007 season gets underway.
While in-state competition doesn’t begin until January, Hilltopper speakers and actors will begin practicing during the fall with an eye toward repeating as State Champions for the fourth consecutive season. In addition to competitive goals, the team will attempt to dramatically expand participation through a multi-faceted recruiting strategy that highlights the benefits of participation while offering flexibility for busy students.
If you are unable to attend the workshop, please contact Mr. Batterman for more information about the team.
