Mark Kettler Excels At Miami-Ohio Institute Tournament

Mark Kettler, a rising junior, successfully represented Marquette University High School at the Redhawk Miami of Ohio Debate Institute this summer. A student in the Nicole Serrano/Ed Lee lab, Mark and his partner Zack Miller (Canton, Ohio) cleared to the institute tournament’s semifinal round as the top seed with an undefeated record before dropping to a team from the Brett Wallace/Paul Strait lab. Mark was also the tournament’s Top Speaker.

Mark has competed in Policy Debate and Forensics for the Webster Club during his freshman and sophomore years at MUHS, something he will again be doing during the 2006-2007 season. Congratulations to Mark on a fine showing to cap off his summer institute experience!
